Carolina Elite
Exists to recognize the highest performers in the Carolinas
Each year, a ranking of the Top 10 Male and Female athletes in the Youth, Junior, Senior, and Masters Categories will be established.
The ranking period is inclusive of the previous WSO Championships up to two weeks before the current year’s WSO Championships.
Rankings for Youth, Junior, and Senior Athletes are based upon the International A Standard established by USA Weightlifting for the respective age group.
Masters Rankings are determined by using the Masters Q-Points Formula to determine the highest coefficient scores by both age and bodyweight.
The ranked athletes will be recognized by the WSO at that year’s Championship event and awarded items on behalf of the WSO to commemorate their achievement.
Benefits:
Carolina Elite receives reimbursement of the early entry fee ($145) only for USAW Nationals Week meets. Reimbursement will be provided for only one singular meet, if signed up for multiple age brackets.
This reimbursement request must be submitted through the form on the website within 1 year of the meet.
This will only be paid out for a maximum of once per year per athlete.
Meet Reimbursement will only be paid out if the athlete totals at the registered meet. Youth athletes are exempt from this stipulation.
Elite athletes competing at Nationals week will receive extra financial support in the form of a stipend. The stipend will be a flat rate of $150.

Athletes must be in good standing and possess a current USAW Membership at time of ranking
Youth and Junior Athletes will be ranked with totals from the final period of the previous year, even though they could be aged out in the year of recognition.
